Enemies and Rascals
Enemies and Rascals, a new polyphonic sound installation from Terence Gower, returns to a largely forgotten episode of North American history: the Invasion of Quebec during the American War of Independence.
Open until 18 October 2026. Find out more about the exhibition here.
Please note, Enemies and Rascals is closed Saturday 22 August, Sunday 23 August, and Saturday 5 September.
The King's College Open House will take place on Saturday 19th, Sunday 20th, Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th September. Enemies and Rascals will be open, and you will be able to visit the Original Cell without tickets. Due to the Open House, it will be especially busy this weekend.
Plan your visit:
The duration of audio installation is approximately 30 minutes.
Enemies and Rascals is complemented by an exhibition of related rare books and historical documents in the library’s Weston Room, curated by Gower, Katie Sambrook, and colleagues at the Foyle Special Collections Library.
We recommend allowing 45-60 minutes for your visit.
Please note, on days when higher traffic is expected there will be hourly time slots to help ensure visitors have the optimal experience. On remaining days, visitors are welcome to arrive at any time during opening hours up to 30 minutes before closing.
