Making Time: Volume 2 Publication Launch
Making Time is an 18 month-long, iterative programme that supports artists as they reflect on their own practice amidst an ever-growing awareness of environmental degradation, biodiversity loss, and climate change. Volume two of the publication captures the development of ideas put forward the second cohort of artists, tracing the questions, experiments, and exchanges that shaped their time together.
The publication includes contributions from participating artists: Claire Baily, Taey Iohe, Nastassja Simensky and Undead Matter / Sophie J Williamson. In addition, guest essays by environmental humanities scholar and art historian, Sria Chatterjee, and curator, Mariana Lemos are featured in the publication.
The event will include readings and discussion, led by the artists, and a presentation by Madeleine Collie, Curator, Stanley Picker Gallery, that explores the need for institutions to radically rethink and remake their practices in respect of current ecological crisis.
Each ticket includes a copy of the publication.
